Our Peer Support providers are individuals who have been champions in their own recovery from mental and/or substance use disorders. They recieve specialized training to help others experiencing similar situations. With understanding, respect, and empowerment, peer support services help people suceed and stay focuse on their personal recovery process. This level of support and understanding helps reduce the risk of relapse. Peer support services extend beyond the limitations of clinical treatment and focus on the everyday for those seeking a sustained recovery.
Our team offers a variety of support opportunities, such as support groups - also often referred to as self-help groups. These groups are attended by people who gather to share common problems and situations associated with a particular problem, condition, illness, or personal circumstance. These attendees are people who truly understand what each one is going through and can share practical insights that can only come from firsthand experience.
Our psychoeducational groups focus on providing education through formal presentation and information sharing on a focused and specific topic or set of needs. Attendees typically share a specific issue and the topics of the group are specific to their care. This form of care is a foundational component to sustained recovery for both mental health and substance use conditions.
