In 2018, we founded Lake Behavioral Health with a clear mission: to provide high-quality behavioral healthcare services to as many individuals as possible. Like many small businesses, our path forward was not fully defined, but we were fortunate to have a talented team with deep experience in behavioral health.
Initially, we focused on substance abuse services, which inspired the name of one of our entities, Lake Substance Abuse Solutions. This focus allowed us to collaborate with exceptional colleagues and expand our reach. The onset of COVID-19 further shaped our approach, highlighting the potential of technology to connect patients with outstanding caregivers, even in underserved areas. Leveraging this insight, we expanded our outpatient services across multiple states and grew our team to meet increasing demand.
By Spring 2023, we revisited a care delivery model where we had significant prior success: providing outpatient behavioral healthcare to seniors in hospital-based settings. This approach delivers exceptional clinical outcomes, alleviates anxiety and depression, combats isolation, and restores joy to the lives of seniors.
